

Loyce Anderson Sexson, "MeMaw," age 82, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at home with family by her side. Loyce was born to Raymond and Eunice Anderson in Clarke County, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 37 years, James E. Sexson; and her brothers James Anderson, Clyde Anderson, and Herman Anderson.
Loyce is survived by her children, Kim McDaniel (Steven), and Robin Temple Rushing (Jay); and her grandchildren, Matthew Temple (Hannah), Lindsey McDaniel, Garrett McDaniel, Katie Temple, and James Temple (Abby); as well as her great grandchildren, Axle, Loxley, Hallie and Jim Temple as well as her twin sister, Joyce McCall.
MeMaw will be remembered for the way she loved her family and especially her grandchildren, the way she cooked fried chicken and fried okra, the way she cheered for the Crimson Tide, all things puzzles, her love for her dogs and her witty personality. Her "ways" will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
A family and friends visitation for Mrs. Sexson will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36117. Following the family and friends visitation will be a celebration of life graveside service at 11:00 AM at Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lee Bigger, Garrett McDaniel, Steven McDaniel, Benjo Morrow, Matthew Temple and Jay Rushing. The family would like to express their gratitude to Mary Ann Smith for her role as a faithful caregiver for many years.
