
Born in Bertie County, North Carolina, Mable started her successful life by attending Bennet College, getting a degree in microbiology. She then moved to Philadelphia, PA, where she met and married David A. Tull, MD, in 1976. They then moved to Tuskegee, Alabama, where Mable worked at the Tuskegee Vet School laboratory and finally retired from the Tuskegee VA after 10 years.
Mable was also a dedicated woman of God, serving as a member of Greenwood Baptist Church for over 30 years and heading their finance department.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Dr. David A. Tull; mother, Retha Mitchell White; sisters, Mary Peppers and Veda B. White; brothers, McCoy White and Rudolph White; and son, David A. Tull II.
Mable is survived by her daughters, Heidi Tull Hinton, Leilani Tull Shivers; grandchildren, Christopher Gyening, Carlton Gyening, Thabiti Anderson, Atiba Anderson, Cameron Gyening, Clayton Gyening, Darious Hanson, Zoey Baker, and Cairo Harris; six great-grandchildren; nephews, Greg White, Michael White and Kevin Peppers; niece, Kimberly Peppers; and a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be held Friday June 26th, 2026, 11:00 AM at Greenwood Missionary Baptist, 1510 Washington Avenue Tuskegee, AL 31088, with interment to follow at 1:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Cemetery 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Gyening, Thabiti Anderson, Atiba Anderson, Clayton Shivers, Darious Hanson and Greg White.
