Mary Durrett Lane

She is survived by her children, Celeste Lane Stough of Berkeley Lake, GA and Cheryl Lane Greenwood of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, James Stough, Molly Stough and Garrett Stough of Berkeley Lake, GA; her siblings, Bradford Durrett, Sibyl Durrett Banks, and James Durrett, all of Tuscaloosa, AL. She graduated from Greene County High School and Perry Business School.

As a pastor’s wife, she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Beulah Baptist Church, Gilgal Baptist Church, Carroll’s Creek Baptist Church, Gallion Baptist Church, East Side Baptist Church (Cullman), Shiloh Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church, Pleasant Springs Baptist Church, Redland Baptist Church and Midway Baptist Church. She worked at Louis Weisel Department Store before marriage and later as an Avon Representative where she was a Presidents Club Member. She retired after 20 years from the Alabama Department of Revenue. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Montgomery.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 25th at

10am at First Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Montgomery on October 25th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the John and Mary Lane Family Memorial Missions Fund at First Baptist Church in Montgomery.
