Mrs. Williams was born on May 15, 1937 in Henry County, TN. She grew up on the family farm in Buchanan and graduated second in the Buchanan High School class of 1955.
Shorty after graduation, Norma married her high school sweetheart, Donald Earl Williams and they were married until his death in 1995. Don had already moved to Chicago, Il to work and they were married in Corinth, MS, because Tennessee had a three day waiting period and Don only had two days off from work.
Norma went to work in Chicago for Dr. Scholl’s, the footwear company. She was pictured in one of their published advertisements in 1956 and worked there until the birth of her first child, Doug, in 1958. Motherhood then became Norma's primary job for almost the next thirty years as Bill was born in 1959, Denise in 1962, Deanna in 1963, and Donna in 1968.
The family moved to Memphis, TN in 1970 upon Don’s job transfer and resided there until their move to Montgomery, AL in 1979. After Norma's children were grown, she went back to work as office manager for the Vaughn Park Church of Christ until her retirement in 2021.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Ruth McCuiston, her husband Don Williams, sister Janet Conley, and her son Bill. She is survived by her son Doug Williams and wife Lisa, daughter-in-law Pam (Bill) Williams, daughter Denise Dukes and husband Mark, daughter Deanna Adams and husband Alan, daughter Donna Holmes and husband Steve; grandchildren Chelsea Williams, Amie (Ryan) Hamling, Lauren (Kemmian) Beard, Emma Baker, Molly (Andrew) Mitchell, Sean (Kady) Tuten, Cloe Baker, Sylvie Holmes, Erika Tuten, and Samantha Holmes; great-grandchildren Harry Hamling, Navie Beard, Naomi Beard, Hazel Hamling, Walker Tuten, Audrey Tuten, Frances Mitchell; and her sister Freeda Johnson and brother Don McCuiston.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Vaughn Park Church of Christ on September 6,2024 for a visitation at 1:00p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00p.m. Brother Brad Sullivan will officiate. Norma will later be interred beside her husband Don at Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
