She loved sewing, reading, cooking, canning and traveling. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her beloved family. She was a member of Eastmont Baptist Church. Her most treasured time and love was devoted to her beloved family.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her children, Andrew Byers (Tanya), Janet Brook (Michael), Deborah Byers, a sister, Minola Holloway, her grandchildren, Jade Brook (Matthew Kyle), Heath Golden (Nikki), Erin Neely (Connor), great grandchildren, Tyler Brook, Hailey Brook, Ryan Golden, Lexi Golden.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Byers, her father, Robert Keller, her mother, Bettie Wright Keller, her brother, Lawrence Bernard Keller, and a granddaughter, Collier Ann Byers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Eastmont Baptist Church 4505 Atlanta Highway Montgomery, AL. Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 am until service time at the church. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Deb Byers, Michael Brook, Andrew Byers, Barry Geary, Heath Golden, and Connor Neely. Interment will take place in Alabama Heritage Cemetery 10505 Atlanta Highway Montgomery, AL following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
