Rachel grew up in Broadway, North Carolina a small close-knit community surrounded by a loving family. She ventured out to start her adult life by going into Nurse’s training. She graduated and soon married a high school classmate to begin marriage as a military wife. She and Billy Ray toured the United States by way of the US Air Force and raised two children. They both became Christians and loved on people no matter where they were. Rachel was especially fond of plants, flowers, nature, singing in the Senior Adult Choir, teaching Sunday School and taking care of her family. At gatherings she was the designated photographer to capture all the fun times. Rachel was truly loved by those who knew her. They were able to appreciate her kindness and see her love of her Lord and Savior.
She will be truly missed by her family until they can again be together.
