

Sadler Beale McLemore died peacefully, with family at her side, at her home in Montgomery, AL, on April 29, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. Sadler was born on March 6, 1954, in Montgomery and was 71 years old.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas Oliver McLemore, junior. Sadler is the daughter of the late Lois Sadler Beale Durr, Jefferson Gilbert Beale, junior and John Wesley Durr, who loved and thought of her as a daughter.
She is survived by children: Mary Martha McLemore Walker (Garrett), Thomas Oliver McLemore III (Pamela), Whittington McLemore Black (Wesley) and Alice McLemore Vosel (Stephen); siblings, Jefferson Gilbert Beale, III (Nancy), Nolton Daniel Beale (Kate) and Alice “Sista” Beale Varner (Rob) and brother-in-law Charles Thigpen McLemore (Catherine).
Grandchildren: Anne Hampton Walker, Catherine Charles Walker, Peter Garrett Walker, Thomas Oliver McLemore, IV, Charles Richard McLemore, Rebecca Anne McLemore, Joseph Robinson McLemore, Sadler Mae McLemore, William Jackson Black, Daniel Allen Black, Robert Oliver Vosel, and Hampton Blake Vosel.
Sadler graduated from Jefferson Davis High School and Belhaven University. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and Free at Last lunch group. She taught kindergarten at Trinity Presbyterian School and also served as a board member. Sadler loved Trinity Presbyterian Church and served in multiple capacities as a Sunday school teacher, member of the choir, Vacation Bible School Director, Children’s Director, Children’s Choir Ministry Director and president of the Women in the Church.

Graveside services will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, May 5 at 10 AM, with the Reverends Patrick Curles and Kurt Cooper officiating. Visitation will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 11 AM, followed by a memorial service at 12 PM.
Pallbearers are Vic Canerday, Jim Edwards, David Finney, Roland Hester, Bill McLemore, Randall Rhodes, Brian Willett, and Doug Woodruff.

She loved deeply and ferociously; she was a child of God.
