Sarah Rhodes was born in Spring Hill, Alabama, on July 16th, 1928. It was there where she met and married her husband of 63 years, Durward Stinson.
Together, Mr. and Mrs. Stinson moved to Montgomery soon after they married and lived here all of their lives. Sarah cherished her church family at Forest Park Church, where she taught Sunday School and Training Union for all of her years there. She also was a proud member of the Daughters of the Nile. One of her favorite verses from The Bible was the 23rd Psalm.
Sarah Rhodes Stinson is survived by her son, Mike Stinson (Nan Stinson); grandchildren, Jacob (Heather), Amber; and twin great-grandchildren, John-Michael and Charlotte. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Durward Stinson.
A graveside service will be held for Ms. Sarah on November 5th, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Cemetery; 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL, 36117.
