Teresa was born on November 13, 1960, to Sam and Pina Masdon, and was the oldest of three children. Teresa's father Sam served in the United States Air Force, so Teresa grew up in the United States and overseas, primarily in Italy. After Teresa graduated high school in the United States, she met Ken Richardson. They married and raised five children: Melissa, Nick, Natalie, Cristina, and Tony.
Teresa Elisabeth Richardson never met a stranger. She was everyone’s “Mom,” including the many foreign exchange students she hosted over a span of several years. Teresa was always the first to help anyone in need. Teresa's passions included traveling, working with and fostering animals, collecting Swarovski crystal, watching TV, reading People magazine, and driving fast cars. She loved listening to music, and hearing her son, Tony, play the piano. She also was a die-hard Alabama football fan, (ROLL TIDE!). In recent years, her favorite activity was visiting with her grandchildren, family, and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Kenneth Richardson; children, Natalie Richardson, Cristina Siccardi (Anthony), Tony Richardson; her father, Sam Masdon Sr; sister, Belinda Kimble; brother, Sam Masdon Jr; grand-children, Tristan, Zander, Roman, Taylor, AJ, and Lina; as well as many nieces, nephews, and foreign exchange students that were always considered family.
Teresa is predeceased by her mother, Giuseppina Masdon; mother-in-law, Ludie Richardson; son, Nicholas Richardson; and step-daughter, Melissa Tyus.
A memorial service for Teresa Elisabeth Richardson will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 2:00PM, at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL, 36117.
The family would like to announce that all are welcome to join Teresa's memorial service. Bring nothing except a funny or heart-warming story to share with the family.
