T. Wayne Gurley 78 of Montgomery, AL formerly of Pike Road, AL passed away at home on Tuesday August 6, 2024 from complications of Parkinson's disease. Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, Aug 12th at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atl Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36117. His family welcomes friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Mr. Gurley was born in South Carolina but lived in Pike Road and Montgomery for most of his life. After serving in the Air Force, he owned and operated the Pine Lake Motel on the Troy Highway for 38 years. He is a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Montgomery.
Mr. Gurley is survived by his wife of 54 years, Faye Gurley; daughter Marsha Graham (Melvin); Grandsons Copeland Bush (Haley), Cullen Bush (Andrea); three great grandchildren and sisters Judy Gurley Pouncey, Annette Gurley and Sam Stallings.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to the Montgomery Humane Society at 1150 John Overton Drive, Montgomery, AL 36110.
