Velma Davis Gray
March 17, 1927 – July 10, 2018
Velma D. Gray went to sleep July 10, 2018. Velma was born March 17, 1927 to Earl and Georgia Davis.
She is predeceased by parents, her brother Earl Davis, sisters Louvenia Siler and Bertha Cureton, nephew Quincy Siler and niece Georgia Cureton. She is survived by her daughter Earlie Gibbs (Richard). Grandchildren Lisa, Nicole and Richard Jr., her brother James Davis (Genette). Many great grands and great great grands. She has a host of nieces and nephews. In Montgomery Alabama she has two cousins, Mamie Green and also Marie Brown to whom she was very close.
She was delighted that the last 18 years of her life was spent serving Jehovah God she always said “It was the best years of my life.” She spent seven years in the full-time ministry until her health failed. She continued to support others in the ministry. Her adopted daughter Peggy Hall and her daughter Kathy Gunn were a constant support. They loved her dearly. She looks forward to a resurrection and a family reunion here on a paradise earth with her parents, daughter, and grands and many of her fellow servants. Of Jehovah the Bible says “You will call and I will answer you” (Job 14:15). Jehovah's promises are sure to come true, just as he resurrected his son Jesus. She will see you in the New World when all things are made new, Rev.21:4.
