Vince Alexander, 61, was called home to sit along side his maker on Monday, May 12, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Vince was loved and respected by everyone who knew him and he will be deeply missed. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Troy University and later became co-owner of Alexander Sealcoating & Striping. He was a follower of Christ, a fan of Auburn Football and enjoyed spending time on the lake. He had a great love and deep devotion for his wife and children, but his greatest joy were the ones that knew him as “Gaggy”; his grandchildren. Vince is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Thelma Alexander of Montgomery; his mother-in-law, Faye Allen of Montgomery; and nephew, Adam Ray of Pike Road. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Allen Alexander; sons, DJ (Stephanie) Alexander of Prattville and Jake Alexander of Montgomery; daughter, Delane (Trey) Lee of Wetumpka; his grandchildren, Shelby, Lilly, Harris, Emma and Destiny; sister, Lisa Ray of Pike Road; brother, Mark Alexander of Montgomery; and father-in-law, Jack Allen of Titus. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm and will celebrate the life of this wonderful man at 5:30 pm at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home.

So sorry for you loss the Bible offers encouraging word at Isa. 33:24 "No resident will say I am sick". No more sickness and death isn't that a comforting thought?

Vince was one of the most laid back and easy going person I have ever know. His family was the most important thing in his life. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.

Although I have only gotten to know Debbie and Vince just over the last 3 or 4 years, I could see the love in their eyes for each other and for the Lord immediately. I could see his strong dedication to the Lord even when his poor body was hurting. On Sunday mornings at church when his legs would no longer carry him into church, Debbie would pull out that wheelchair and wheel him in. Their love for each other and for God made them glow. He will be deeply missed, but is resting peacefully now and will look down upon you Debbie with that glow in his eyes.
Love to you and this sweet family,
Joann Esco

Through out the years, I can remember our days as kids we spent at PawPaws and the fun things we did. I pray for your family, and that they continue to grow and to know that you were one of the good ones.
