HOLMES, William James, born December 10, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, May 5, 2017 in Montgomery, AL. He was the loving husband of Janet Holmes and father of Lynda Hughes (Daniel), Cyndy Granger (William), Sandra Hundley (Charles); grandfather of eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Baptist Church on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Teman Knight officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Heritage Baptist Missions Ministry or Senior Adult Ministry.
