He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Lottie Klinner; as well as his brother, Robert Klinner. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Klinner; children, Kim Lempicki (Dr. Todd Lempicki) and Bill Klinner Jr. (Susan); as well as grandchildren, Jessica Little (Patrick), Ben Lempicki, and Will Klinner.
Bill was born in Maplesville, Alabama on February 8, 1940. He graduated from Maplesville High School in 1958, where he was an outstanding basketball player. After high school, he had the good fortune of meeting Shirley McLean, from Selma, Alabama. She would become his life partner, and this past June they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.
Bill worked in the fastener business for over 50 years and owned and operated Capitol Bolt & Supply in Montgomery, Alabama until he retired.
In his free time, he loved being with his family and friends, traveling, and spending time boating and relaxing on Lake Martin and Pensacola Beach.
A celebration of life visitation for Bill will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36117.
