Yancey "Gene" E. Shaver Jr. "Gene"

SHAVER, Yancey E. Jr. “Gene”, 74, a resident of Montgomery Alabama passed away Monday April 18, 2016. He was preceded in death by his Parents Yancey E and Mildred (Weed) Shaver Sr. and wife, Brenda "BJ" Shaver. Mr. Shaver is survived by his brother Larry G. Shaver (Linda), his sons Yancey E. Shaver III (Angie), Michael G. Shaver, and Carl V. Ware (Kelly), Grand children- Jessica Shaver Brown (Wes), Tabitha, Cade, Melissa, and Miranda Shaver, Dalton Parr (Cathy). Adopted and loved as family Brenda Bradley, Kathryn Walton, Tara Kennedy (Kevin) Amy LeJeune (Jessica) and Kacey Walton. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was the owner of Shaver Sand and Gravel / Froggy Bottom Materials for over 30 years. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Tucker of Prattmont Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Terry Truitt, Dalton Parr, Bobby LeJeune, Kevin Kennedy, Tony Golden, and Tommie Lee Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed Kirby and Jimmy Shaver. Donations may be made in Gene Shavers memory to the Montgomery Area Food Bank.
