Calvin was a loving husband, adoring father, and the best of grandfathers. Let's not forget that he was an awesome brother as well. A blunt and honest individual, Pop was the type to share what was on his mind. Though he was a hard worker, he also spent his life doing activities that brought him joy. Those activities included fishing, joy riding, partying, playing cards, wine making and so much more. His greatest happiness came from spending time and visiting with his loved ones.
Calvin leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth Lejeune Pilgrim of Bayou L'Ourse; his daughters, Hope Vaughn of Bayou L'Ourse and Tessa Pilgrim of Bayou L'Ourse; six grandchildren, Alyssa Harris, Kelsey Vaughn, and Riley Vaughn, Trent Abadie, Matthew Garcia, and Trey Garcia; five siblings Virgil Pilgrim, Maria Gearhart, Linda Pilgrim Bradley, Lisa Mayon, and Earline Roy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Pilgrim and Ethel Roy; his son-in-law, Randy Vaughn; his grandparents, Lucy and Roscoe Pilgrim and Lorena and Eugene Ratcliff; and a sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Dan Diedrich.
The family requests that a time of visitation be observed on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 6pm to 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 9am until time of services at 11am at Hargrave Funeral Home with Pop being laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to assist in the alleviation of funeral expenses.
