Charmaine Hackney 62, a native of Alexandria and a resident of Patterson, passed away June 11, 2013 in Thibodaux.
Charmaine enjoyed her potted plants, and watching her lady bugs and loved her home with she referred to as her own castle. She very much enjoyed baking sweets for her family. She was also an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and bled Purple and Gold for LSU Football.
Charmaine is survived by her daughter Chauncey Vinning and her “favorite” son-in-law Kevin of Patterson her brothers Ronald Hackney and his wife Deborah of Pass Christian and Thomas Hackney of Bayou Vista her Aunt Dot Hackney of Berwick, her former husband Harry J. Carpenter of Patterson and her faithful companion Murdock. And a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Charmaine is preceded in death by her parents Percy and Vera Hackney, and her Uncle Pete Hackney.
Privet Grave Side Services will be held at a later date.
