

Clifford was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided every aspect of his life. A proud and active member of the Knights of Columbus, he served faithfully as a Eucharistic minister and devoted much of his time to visiting and caring for the homebound in his community. Known for his generous spirit and unwavering dedication, Clifford was a beloved figure in the Morgan City area, where he spent over 40 years as a manager for Texaco—a role he held with pride and passion throughout his entire career. His commitment to his work, his community, and his faith left a lasting impact on all who knew him. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Clifford honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict, exemplifying courage and patriotism both in and out of uniform.
Clifford is survived by his 6 children, Catherine Siracusa (Sammy), Celeste Journey (Karen Christiansen), Steve Journey (CynDee), Robert Journey (Julie, since passed), Susan Journey (Ray Villeneuve), and Laura Journey, and 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Darbonne Journey; his parents, Clifford Dean Journey Sr. and Bernadine Bryant Journey and one sister, Mary Evelyn Journey.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday July 23, 2025 , at the St. Stephens Catholic Church, located at 3217 2nd St, Berwick, LA 70342. Wake will be held from 8:30am to 10 a.m. with a rosary being prayed at 9 a.m. in the Parish Hall, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. next door in the church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum, located at 1011 1st St, Patterson, LA 70392. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be sent to St. Stephens Catholic Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City, Louisiana.
