Dale welcomed me into the Bayou Boeuf family with open arms and immediately took me under his wing. I couldn't have asked for better mentor and co-worker. Sadly I know there was vast more that I could have learned from him. We hit it off right away both sharing virtually the same sense of humor and taste in music. Working right next to each other, we were well suited partners in crime. I shall miss my friend.

Dale and I worked at Bayou Boeuf Electric, Dale was always in a joking mood, always with that great smile and his great laugh. Anytime I needed help with work or my personal life, I could always go to Dale for help and he would listen and give the right advice. Men like Dale Smith are very rare in this world and anyone that had this man to bless there life are truly bless indeed...

Dale, when we first met it seemed that literally everyone we ran into was either related to you or was a friend. It was true because everyone who knew you loved you and you treated them all like family. You were so very special to so many people. Your sense of humor and crazy sayings had us laughing all the time. You were such a great father. Look how awesome our beautiful daughter turned out. That was because of you. You used to say that all she got from you was her blood type, but that's not true. She got so much more than that – she got your thoughtfulness, your kindness, your generosity, (your curls!), the list is a long one. You were such an important part of the boy's lives, too. It didn't matter to you at all that they were not your own flesh and blood. You loved and supported Ryan and Jeremy as ferociously as if they had been your own, and for that, I am forever grateful. I am so thankful to have had you in my life. You made me a better person. My soul has been greatly injured with your departure, but I am certain we will be together again one day. You are my forever friend. I will not say goodbye. Instead, I will just simply say, Be Seeing You!

I will continue to miss you everyday for the rest of my life until we meet again. You've inspired me in so many ways and always sacrificed so much so that I could have the best life possible. I hope you knew how much I appreciated that. My life is so wonderful because I was blessed to have you as my father. I love you SOOO very much and I know that you're riding that Harley all around Heaven! I also feel comforted knowing that I have the best guardian angel of them all. You're my hero! Love you always and forever!
