

Doris loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Doris was a founding member of Holy Cross Catholic Church; and a member of the Bereavement Team and a past member of The Ladies Alter Society. Doris also worked for Holy Cross Elementary for 25 years as the cafeteria manager. She liked to laugh and her joy in life was to make people happy.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are her sons Glenn Gobert of Baton Rouge, Norbert Gobert and his wife Marion of Colorado Springs, Colo., Murray “Moe” Gobert and his wife Loretta of Baton Rouge, and Bob Gobert and his wife April of Baton Rouge; one daughter Gaynell Gobert Sauce and her husband Jim of Berwick; one sister Irene Templet Fromenthal of Morgan City. Doris is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents Norbert and Elise Duval Templet; her husband Louis Gobert; one brother Eugene Templet and a sister Irma Guidry.
A time of remembrance and reflection will be held at Hargrave Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 6.00 pm until 8:00 pm; with Rosary at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Hargrave Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church beginning at 11:00 am.
Doris will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
