Gustavo Adolfo Gil

Gustavo was born on March 31,1929 to Vincente and Soledad Gil. Gustavo loved doing woodworking, going to the Gym, yard work, crossword puzzles, dancing, vacationing in Cancun and playing with his great grandbabies.

Those left to cherish his precious memory are his wife of 65 years Ramona Gil, his six children: Ed Gil and wife Kim, Alex Gil and wife Ana, Javier Gil, Fabian Gil, Bertha Daigle and husband Ricky, and Mario Gil and wife Nicole; three brothers: Juan Gil, Carlos Gil and Vicente Gil; four sisters: Yolanda Gil, Rosa Gil, Juana Gil, and Ofelia Gil. He also leaves behind fourteen grand children: Edward Gil, Jacob Gil, Karmen Loupe and husband Aaron, Fabian M. Gil and wife Brittany, Brayden Gil, Brandt Gil, Alexis Gil, Gunnar Gil, Gavin Gil, Adriane Angeron and husband Brad, Alyssa Daigle, Ashley Daigle, Beny Rivera and Karen Rivera and eight great grandchildren: Kaden, Ashton, Mayci, Ofelia, Canon, Parrish, Eli and Crosby.

Those welcoming him into Heaven are his parents Vicente and Soledad Gil.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. William Cefalu, Dr. Mary Ellon Allen, and the staff of Ochsner St. Mary ICU Dept. and the Emergency Room Doctors and Nurses for their great care and compassion for Mr. Gil while in their care.

A memorial visitation is scheduled for February 6,2021 at Hargrave Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. A Private service will be held for Gustavo from 11:30 until 12:30 for the family.
