Jeanette was a devoted grandmother whose greatest joy came from her beloved grandbabies — each one holding a special and unique place in her heart. She also shared a deep bond with her sweet fur baby, Lady Bug, who brought her endless comfort and companionship. Known for her radiant smile and ever-positive spirit, Jeanette had a gift for finding the silver lining in every situation. Her strength and determination were matched only by her sense of humor, and depending on the day, you might be greeted with her playful feistiness or her infectious laughter.
Though the beach wasn’t her favorite place, she found peace and serenity in the sound of crashing waves, often choosing to sit and listen rather than swim. A talented seamstress, Jeanette created beautiful curtains and took pride in her craftsmanship. She had a passion for shopping, especially when it came to thrifting, estate sales, and discovering hidden treasures in antique shops. A true collector at heart, she loved her trinkets and was always on the hunt for the next "fine thing" to add to her collection. Jeanette’s vibrant personality, unwavering love for her family, and eye for beauty will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Those left to cherish her beautiful memory are her four children, Erica Bustos and her husband, Israel Jr., Randy Chautin Jr. and his wife, Brittany, John Chautin and his wife, Kourtney, and Samantha Champagne and her fiance, Gabrielle Gowan; her companion, Michael Grubb; 16 grandchildren, Hailey, Ariana, Isabella, Dahlia, Israel III, Breanna, Nevaeh, Laiken, Journey, Amari, Kaiden, Kailie, Zane, Kynzlie, Bentlee, and Oaklin and three great grandchildren, Grayson, Kali, and Ivy Kate. She is also survived by her siblings, Dale Champagne and his spouse, Debbie, Nanette Marks and her husband, Gary, and Charles Trahan Jr. and his spouse, Rachel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Chautin; her father, Frank Champagne Jr.; her mother, Mergie Mae Miller; her stepfather, Charles Trahan Sr.; her siblings, James Champagne, Lynnette Champagne, and Andrew Trahan; her godson, Brandon Paul Chautin and her grandparents, DieuDonne Miller Sr. and Ametile Miller.
