Jena Gay (Sanford) Granier

Jena Gay Sanford Granier passed away on March 19, 2022 at the age of 61. She was a longtime resident of Bayou Vista, Louisiana. She is survived by her daughters; Jessica Written Beadle and husband Gabriel “Gabe” Beadle and Jordan Written Guidry and husband Jace Guidry, her grandchildren; Lux, Wyatt & Ivy Beadle and Elliott & Graham Guidry. She is also survived by her mother Carolyn Sue Sanford, her siblings; Jodi Adams, Julie Metrejean, Joe Sanford Jr., John Sanford, Jason Sanford and significate other of 10 years Michael Paul Lovell.

She is preceded in death by her son; Joseph Thomas “J.T.” Tobias, her father Joe Gerald Sanford Sr.; grandparents; Frank Gaspar and Emmadell Belanger Gaspar and Joe Johnson Sanford and Mary Narcissa Sanford, her infant sister Juana Nell Sanford.

Jena proudly served her country in the US Marine Corps. She always enjoyed the simpler things in life. Gardening and making flower arrangements for family and friends was a favored pastime. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her two dogs. Her most joyful moments were spent being a Mimi to her 5 grandchildren. The love she has for her family and grandkids was unmeasurable. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at Hargrave Funeral Home on Thursday, March 24, 2022. The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by a service at 11:30AM. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hargravefuneralhome.com for the family.
