Born in Morgan City on October 6, 1945 to Harry “PeeWee” Giroir and Elda Boudreaux Landry, Lawrence was a man of resilience, known for his dependable nature and hardworking hands. A skilled carpenter by trade, he dedicated his time to his craft, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful, handcrafted work. His talent and passion was visible in every project, a true testament to his love for the craft.
More than his professional accomplishments, Lawrence was a devoted family man. He shared a fulfilling life with his beloved wife of 59 years, Theresa. Together, they built a family grounded in love, laughter, and Jesus. He was a loving father and brother; and cherished his role as a proud grandfather to his grandchildren.
When he wasn't in his shop, Lawrence could be found enjoying the great outdoors at the hunting camp. He loved hunting and fishing, finding peace and satisfaction in the quiet of nature. These were more than hobbies; they were opportunities to create lasting memories with those he loved most.
Lawrence was the best role model, supporter and teacher to those around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his dependability, and his genuine spirit that touched the lives of everyone he met. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Theresa Giroir; his children, Duane Giroir (Sabrina) and Krystal Armstrong (Darrel); his grandchildren, Brianna Chreene (Caleb), Mckenzie Aucoin (Michael) and Therin Dusek; and his great grandchild, Judah Chreene. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers; Glynda Lasseigne (Barry), Harriet LeBlanc (Pete), Cary Giroir (Cheryl), Curtis Landry, Tammy Landry Aucoin and Belinda Landry (Mike Carlos).
