Leo Daniel Pellissier, Sr., 82, a native & resident of Morgan City passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, at Thibodaux Regional Hospital.
Leo spent 31 years working for BNSF Railroad before retiring, dedicating much of his life to a career that took steady hands and hard work, qualities that carried over into everything else he loved to do. He was a gifted woodworker who built his own storm shutters by hand, a skilled ace mechanic who could fix just about anything, and a man who found quiet satisfaction in repairing clocks, piece by piece. In his downtime, he enjoyed nothing more than settling in to watch a good western.
He was a devoted husband to his wife of 57 years, Betty Thibodeaux Pellissier; his daughter, Angela Ramagos (Thomas); his son, Leo Pellissier, Jr.; and his two grandchildren, Jacob Ramagos and Dakota Ramagos (Shyla Boggs).
Visitation will commence at Hargrave Funeral Home on Friday, July 10th, from 9:00 am until Christian Service at 11:30 am with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Leo will be remembered for his steady hands, his quiet craftsmanship, and the love he poured into his family for 82 years. He will be deeply missed.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Phillip and Judy Lajaunie, to Kirsten Hebert, his special little cousin, and to Carla Ott, their special angel nurse from Vital Care for the love & care shown to Leo & the family.
