At 84 years old, Linda never met a stranger—she truly knew everyone. Her warmth, welcoming spirit, and unmistakable presence made her a cherished figure in every community she touched. For many years, she delighted in cooking Sunday meals for her family, creating not just food but memories that will last a lifetime. In quieter moments, she enjoyed working on word search puzzles, always with a sharp mind and keen eye.
Linda had a gift for storytelling. With a unique booming voice and a boisterous personality, she could captivate a room with elaborate tales, and her family will forever treasure the joy and laughter those stories brought. Her voice, her stories, and her presence are part of the legacy she leaves behind.
She dedicated over 20 years of service as a bus driver for the Terrebonne Parish School District, safely transporting generations of students with care and commitment. She also served as an election commissioner in Terrebonne Parish for more than 30 years, taking pride in her role in the democratic process.
A proud and faithful member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia, Louisiana, Linda's faith was a guiding light in her life. Though a native of Natchez, Mississippi, she made her home in Louisiana for the majority of her life—years filled with friendship, community, and love.
Linda’s legacy lives on in the stories she told, the meals she made, the lives she touched, and the family and friends who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.
