Manuel Villar

August 18, 1926 - October 15, 2010

Mr. Manuel Villar, 84, a long time resident of Morgan City passed to

his new live October 15, 2010 at Teche Regional Hospital surrounded by

his family.

Manuel's family and roots are from Spain where he served in the

Spanish Military prior to emigrating to the United States. He was a

loving husband to his wife Maria del Carmen for 60+ years and the

father to two daughters. He worked as a "fitter" in the oilfield but

was a "jack of all trades". He will be sadly missed by the many

friends and the family who loved him.

Manuel is survived by his wife Maria del Carmen Martinez Villar, his

daughter Maria and her husband Jose Gonzalez of Florida and his

daughter Ana and her husband Ricky Aucoin of Morgan City. He is also

survived by four grandchildren; Alejandro Gonzalez (Jenny), Erik

Aucoin (Jocelyn), Kristy Gonzalez, and Brooke Allen (Samuel); three

great grandchildren; Ava Allen, Baylor Allen, Audrey Gonzalez, and

Tuesday Aucoin.

A time of reflection and remembrance will be from 9:00 a.m. until

12:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church in Morgan

City followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Monday,

October 18, 2010. Mr. Villar will be laid to rest in the Morgan City

Cemetery.
