Mel D. Verret

May 26, 1967 – August 27, 2011

Mel Dominic Verret, 44, a native of Bayou Vista and resident of Berwick passed away, Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.

Mel is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Mechille Carter Verret of Berwick; his parents, Floyd and Juanita Saucier Verret of Bayou Visit; one daughter, Deanna Verret of Berwick; two sons, Brandon and David Verret of Berwick; one brother, Chad J. Verret of Houston, TX.; and one sister, Tulonna V. Oliver of Lake Charles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Curtis J. Verret and Althea Daigle Verret, and his maternal grandparents, Marshal Saucier and Edna Ardoin Saucier.

The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 9am until time of services at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City with a rosary being prayed at 10am.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at 2pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City with graveside services following in the Morgan City Cemetery.
