

On Friday, June 26, 2026, Norris Paul Leon, Jr. (79), a lifelong resident of Berwick and Bayou Vista, was called to his heavenly home to join his loving wife of 50 years Susan Ratcliff Leon. Norris was a devoted husband, a dedicated father to his children, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, and playing billiards. He was a hardworking provider who never met a stranger. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Norris’ memory are his five children, Kirk Leon and his wife, Gerayne, Klint Leon and his wife, Brooke, Reneé Boudousquie and her husband, Michael, Keith Leon and his wife, Tonya, and Tara Nico; three surviving siblings: Betty Blakeman and her husband, Danny; Ricky Leon and his wife, Liz; Michael Leon and his wife, Cheryl; twelve (12) grandchildren include Andrew Broussard, Kaleb Leon and his wife Lexi, Brent Alleman Jr. and his wife Christina, Lauren Alleman, Konner Leon, McKenzie Leon, Logan Leon, Camren Boudousquie, Morgan Boudousquie, Andrea Haddock and her husband, Josh, Braedyn Nico and Layton Nico; and eleven (11) great-grandchildren and the anticipated arrival of the 12th great-grandchild. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. The family wishes to express their gratitude to JoAnne Price and her family for their love, presence, and friendship over the past five years.
Norris was preceded in death by his parents, Norris Leon, Sr. and Hazel Terro Leon ; two brothers , Roy Leon and Wilton Leon,Sr.; one sister, Gloria Leon Boyne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randolph Ratcliff Sr. and Shirley Mayon Ratcliff; two brother-in-law’s Michael Ratcliff and Ronald J Ratcliff, Sr.; and two nieces, Rachel and Kimberly Ratcliff.
The family requests that a time of visitation be observed on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 9 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City, Louisiana. Following services, Norris will be laid to rest with his beloved wife in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
Acting as pallbearers are his beloved grandsons.
