Rhonda was the foundation of her family, a steady pillar of strength, comfort, and unwavering love through life’s many hardships, including the heartbreaking losses of her father and sister. Those who knew her always knew they could lean on her for support, wisdom, and reassurance. She was quite a character: funny yet serious when it mattered most, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Rhonda loved butterflies and the color yellow, symbols as bright and beautiful as her spirit. She will also be lovingly remembered for being a wonderfully amazing pain in the bottom, a trait that brought laughter, personality, and unforgettable charm to those who loved her most.
She is survived by her brother, Louis Aucoin Jr. and his fiance, Katie Rodrigue; two nephews which she helped raise, Wesley and Marcus Aucoin; her great 'grandson', Jacob La'Ray Aucoin; a nephew whom she is very close with, Joseph Boudoin; her step brother, Kirby R. Gregory; and several other nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Aucoin Sr. and her mother, Sandra Waters Aucoin; and her sister, Stephanie Aucoin.
In keeping with family wishes, services will be held privately by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City, Louisiana.
