Rowena Rosson

April 15, 1954 ~ December 31, 2010

Rowena Rosson a long time resident of Stephensville passed away at the age of 56 in Morgan City.

Rowena was a fun loving lady who was devoted to her grandchildren and enjoyed her friends and family. Rowena believed in supporting our veterans and remembering those who lost their lives in service to our country. Rowena and her husband “Cowboy” were the founders of the “Memorial Freedom Ride”.

Rowena is survived by her husband George “Cowboy” Rosson Jr., her son Jonathan Russo , her

daughter Michelle Hay, her twin brother Robert and his wife Debbie Childress and her sister Sunny

and her husband Robert Brown. Rowena is also survived by her Step father and his wife, Robert and Lou Childress , her brother Lester Fussell and step sister Linda Fussell and 8 grandchildren.

Rowena was preceded in death by her parents Leonard Childress and Doris Flournoy.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday January 15, 2011 from 12 P.M. until 3 at The American Legion Post, 96 in Morgan City.
