Roxanne was a quiet and reserved soul whose greatest joy was being best friends with her two girls. Though gentle by nature, she was never afraid to speak honestly when it mattered most. She kept her circle small and her heart centered on family, love, and caring for others. She also held a very special place in the heart of her only grandson, who adored her deeply. In her younger years, she had a soft spot for stray cats, always feeding and taking in those in need to give them a safe and loving home. Roxanne also found comfort in cardinals, especially one faithful visitor she believed was a sign that her beloved husband, Mike, was watching over her from heaven. She will be deeply loved, dearly missed, and forever remembered.
Those left to cherish Roxanne's memory are her two daughters, Selene and Kendall Elder and one grandson, Austin Elder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Elder; her parents, Derald and Ardes Remillard and two sisters, Gloria Sanders and Ellie Fossell.
In keeping with Roxanne's wishes, cremation will take place with no public services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City, Louisiana.
