Tracy Sr. was born on January 18, 1938 in Morgan City, LA, the son John Vidos.
Tracy Sr. was a lifelong resident of the area, as a child and a boy growing up in the little town of Berwick, Tracy loved the water and helping his dad on the boat. At a very young age Tracy was his dads little helper on the shrimp boat helping to provide for the family. He grow up on the waterways and bayous around here, always fishing or shrimping. Tracy had a limited amount of education but a very smart and intelligent gentlemen. As Tracy grew in his teenage years into a young adult, Tracy became a carpenter helping his dad John Vidos building family homes around the area. Tracy worked and finally made enough to buy his car that he loved to keep clean and ride in around town. Going to the Drive inn movies was one of his favorite memories. He often talked about being an older brother to his sister Ann Vidos. When Tracy mastering that profession he found himself wanted more out of life so he moved on landing a job with Land and Marine as a butcher cutting meat with this company for many years. Tracy had an opportunity that came open to become an electrician with his brother Wilton Vidos. Tracy started as a helper and learned all he could to become the best in his field. Tracy went on to become an Electrician Forman for Raymond Fabrication in Amelia, where he retired from many years ago. During his retirement, Tracy took on jobs at Wal-Mart helping people in the store. Tracy also took on a job he loved as much as being an electrician and it was being a driver at Rouses delivering flowers to the sick or boat orders to the men and woman on the water or maybe just a simple birthday arrangement he always took pride in the job no matter how big or how small. Tracy was a very gentle and loving man. Tracy enjoyed his family, and caring for others as much as his late wife did. Even at 80 years young, Tracy was still caring for others daily. He loved beyond the meaning of love for others and his family.
Tracy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Robin and Gary Businelle of Patterson, Bobbie and Terry LeBlanc of Pierre Part, and Tracy J. Vidos III of Patterson; his sister Ann Aucoin of Berwick; and one brother Johnny Vidos of Stephenville. Tracy is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Timothy Reese James Lopez and wife Ashley Lopez of Amelia, Sherry Cheri Buehler and husband Brian Buehler of Sparta Tn., Zacharieth Paul Lopez and wife Prism Lopez of Pierrepart, Chairmain Hebert, and Monica Hebert of Patterson, Micheal Werline and Douglas Werline of Centerville, Sara Vidos, John Vidos jr., Michael Joyce, Jayne Miller, Jayson Schwartz all of Washington, In. Tracy had Nineteen great grandchildren, Coby James Lopez, Anjelle A. Hebert, Jasmine Marie Rose Lopez, Quentell Rose Vidos, Davonte Hebert, Hayden Paul Lopez, Ricky Lynn Champagne Jr., Aaliyah Linda Vidos, Gracie Lynn Champagne, Dashawn Blackburn, Reese James Faulk, Gabriel Leo Jesus
Lopez, Mathew A. Cruz, Aaliyah. Patton, Malachi Vidos, Jayla Vidos, Zoe Joyce, Paisley Joyce and Zendaya Elizabeth Button Lopez.
Tracy is preceded in death by his wife Linda Joyce Vidos; his father John Vidos; a brother Wilton Vidos; three sons John Vidos Sr, Tracy J. Vidos Jr. and Reese James Vidos; a daughter Sandra Lynn Werline; and a great grandchild Albert M. Cruz ( Dudda Butt).
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Hargrave Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held Monday December 10, 2018 from 1-4 pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. Tracy will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Mausoleum at a later time for immediate family and friends.
