It is with great confidence in eternal life obtained through salvation that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother Anna L. McCartney, who peacefully went into the arms of her Savior on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the age of 80 in Waynesburg, PA
Born on August 22, 1944 in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late James William Lewis and Anna Icie Statler. Anna dedicated much of life to caring for others. With a heart full of compassion and hands that brought care and comfort, she served as an LPN for over fourty years. She was known for her unwavery dedication to patients, calming presence and deep empathy for those under her care.
Outside nursing Anna enjoyed taking care of her home and her lawn. She enjoyed visiting shut-ins and making food to take to others. She treasured the time spent with family and friends.
Her first husband, Luther D. McCartney is deceased. On September 17, 2021 she married David E. Boyles, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Janet (John) Squires of Waxahachie, TX, Amy (Doug) Nevels of Kingsport, TN, Charles (Janet) McCartney of Mt. Morris, Linda (Raymond) Neer of Fairmont, WV, and Sharon Salisbury of Morgantown, WV; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Tinathan Lewis of Cross Junction, VA.
Deceased are four brothers, Donley Stewart, James "Jock" Lewis, William "Shorty" Lewis, and Harry Lewis; and a sister, Wilma Scott Bryan.

A gathering of friends for Anna will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Milliken & Throckmorton Funeral Home, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jason McCartney officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA.
