Frances Irene Headley

Frances Irene Headley, 80 of Mount Morris, PA passed at 8:47 PM on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. She was born on November 23, 1945 in McHenry, Maryland, the daughter of the late Lawrence Bowser and Elizabeth Sollars Bowser.

Frances was a long time resident of Mount Morris. She was a member of the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God.

Frances absolutely loved spending time with her large family. She enjoyed shopping at Walmart, gardening and tending to her flowers. Frances loved watching her grandkids in all of their sporting events, and was an avid Hawks fan of University High School, where she was also a graduate, Class of 1963. Frances worked at Sears for 20 years before she went to start working for the Monongalia County School system as a secretary for 32 years. She really enjoyed cooking and hosting family events. She played the piano and accordian, and sang with her dad and sisters whenever she was able.

Her Husband: Warren F. Headley, whom she married on May 14, 1966 survives. Also surviving are 1 Son: Darrell and Betsy Headley of Mount Morris, PA, 4 Grandchildren: Jordan and Sam Spanovich of Meridian, Mississippi, Jenny Zarnick of Morgantown, WV, Jeff and Michaela Headley of Mount Morris, PA, Jacob Headley and Olivia Blakenship of Morgantown, WV, 6 Great-Grandchildren: Lily, Isaac, Warren, Jeffrey Jr., River and Aspen, 3 Sisters: Wanda and George Dunbar of Star City, WV, Martha and Joe Tomago of Westover, WV, Naomi and Ray Stroud of Round Rock, TX, 2 Brothers: Jim Bowser of Mount Morris, PA, Dave and Jackie Bowser of Mount Morris, PA and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents are 2 Sisters: Shirley Fominko and Rose Sampson, 4 Brothers: Larry, Arnold, Ron and Tim, and a special friend Homer Clark.

There will be visitation on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God, 103 School Road, Mount Morris, PA 15349 with additional visitation being held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, May 15, 2026 with her service being held at 12:00 PM with Pastors Joseph Adams and Monica Calvert officiating. Burial will be at Fairview-Kiger Cemetery. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. Mount Morris, PA Shane M. Ayers-Managing Director were entrusted with her arrangements.
