Jane (Phillips) Stewart

Jane (Phillips) Stewart, age 81, of Mount Morris, Pennsylvania passed away at 4:51 AM on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Morgantown Heights, Morgantown, WV. Jane was born on February 11, 1944 in Wayne Township, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late John Phillips and Gaynelle Edgar Phillips Ponzoo. Her foster mother Esther Furman also preceded her in death. Jane enjoyed watching T.V., bowling and reading. In her working years she was an LPN at Monongalia General Hospital for over 30 years. Her Husband: Kenneth Edward Stewart, whom she married on November 28, 1964 died on December 4, 2018. Surviving are 1 Daughter: Virginia and husband Randy Johnson of Rockwood, PA, 1 Son: David and wife Beth Stewart of Fairview, WV, 3 Grandchildren: Rebecca and Allison Johnson, Halee and husband Jimmy McKinney, 1 Great-Granddaughter: Paige McKinney, 1 Brother: Chuck Ponzoo and several nieces and nephews. Deceased: 4 Sisters- Carol Keller, Marlene Webb, Betty Jean Wise and Joann Haring, 7 Brothers- Jack, John, Jerry and James Phillips, James and Henry Lee Ponzoo.

A visitation for Jane will be held Monday, April 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., 324 Mount Morris Rd., Mount Morris, Pennsylvania 15349, Shane M. Ayers-Director, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Joseph Adams officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mount Morris, PA.
