Lester E. Dille

Lester E. Dille, 72, of Core, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at home. He was born August 14, 1951, a son of the late Francis E. Dille and Pansy Foley Dille. Lester was a lifetime member of the UMWA. He was a coal miner, retiring from Federal #2 Mine on Miracle Run in 2006 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the West Virginia Farm Bureau. Lester loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He showed horses for many years and loved hunting and fishing, and he really enjoyed trout fishing. His Wife: Margaret Kay Dille whom he married on December 31, 1974 died July 15, 2022. Surviving are 1 Daughter: Terri "Ted" Summers and her partner Steven Ellis of Core, WV, 1 Son: Lester "Bud" Dille II of Mount Morris, PA, 3 Grandchildren: Tucker, Olivia and Mason, 1 Sister: Christine (Nimrod) McCoy of Days Run, WV and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are 1 Son- Christopher Dille, 1 Grandson- Austin Summers, 1 Sister- Mary Ellen Roupe and 4 Brothers- Dennis, David, Earnest and Arzie Dille. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation or services at this time. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
