Mary Ann “Pompura” Herrington, 65, of Morgantown, WV and formerly Mt. Morris, PA lost her battle with cancer on Monday, September 22, 2025. Born December 21, 1959 to John C. Pompura and Helen “Gere” Pompura. Mary Ann was a 1977 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School. She worked at Kroger on Patteson Drive in Morgantown, WV for 47 years, most recently lighting up the floral department. Co-workers became family and customers became lifelong friends. Mary Ann is survived by her mother Helen “Gere” Pompura, husband, sister; Karen (Keith) Jenkins, brother; Joseph (Kim) Pompura, daughter; Allie Herrington, son; Andrew Herrington, grandson Brody Herrington and all beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, John C. Pompura and brother John Pompura. She hosted the Perry All Class Reunion and was in the Window Lickers group. Mary Ann loved socializing with friends and family, and cheering for Brody at his races. Mary Ann’s celebration of life will be held at the James T. Maxon American Legion Post #992 in Mt. Morris, PA on October 17th, 2025 from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM.
