Susan Strosnider Ault

On July 25, 2023, Susan Strosnider Ault went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. Susan was born to her late parents, Kathryn Donley Strosnider and Harvey Herschel Strosnider in their home, on December 4, 1946 in Taylortown, Greene County, PA.

After graduating in 1964 from Mapletown High School, in Greensboro, PA, she attended Morgantown Business School (MBS) in Morgantown, WV, graduating in 1965. While at MBS, she met her future husband, Richard M. Ault of Morgantown, WV.

The two love birds initially dated by mail as Richard was in the United States Air Force and stationed in Alaska, and they married January 20, 1968. She traveled with her husband, living in Alaska, Texas, Turkey, Georgia, Italy, Maryland, Florida, North Carolina and finally South Carolina as her last earthly home.

She worked as bank teller and was also a skilled seamstress, crocheter, embroiderer and professional cake decorator. She loved cats and football, particularly the Washington Redskins.

Susan was a loving mother to her two daughters, Kathryn Ault Ziel and Laura Kristine Ault and a doting grandmother to Richard Ashley Mendoza Ault. She is survived by her husband Richard, her daughters Kathryn (husband Ashley Q. Ziel) and Laura, and grandson Richard. She is also survived by her two sisters, Irene Strosnider Bowers (husband Warren Bowers) and Louise Strosnider Davis (husband Jerry Davis) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their spouses.

Friends will be received from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 324 Mount Morris Rd. Mount Morris, PA 15349. Shane M. Ayers, Director where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 with Pastor Andrew Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mount Morris, PA 15349.
