

Alma worked at Howmet as a shipping clerk for 25 years until her retirement in 1980. She was very involved in the Ladies’ Auxiliary out of Post #7729, and served as the past president of the 12th District, past 8th Supreme District President of the Military Order of the Cootie, and spent a lot of her time volunteering for veteran’s causes. She was also an avid knitter, sewer, and quilter, and had made mittens, hats, and afghans for veterans and the veteran’s hospital. Family was incredibly important to Alma, and she cherished her time with them camping, traveling, bowling, and playing cards.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel from 6:00-8:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muskegon VA Outpatient Clinic.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel at 1:00pm. The family will receive visitors an hour before services. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
