Born on October 30, 1967, to John and Margaret Mitchelson, Ann was a proud graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School. Central to everything Ann did was her deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her relationship with the Lord was the foundation of her character, providing a source of strength and grace that sustained her throughout her life’s journey.
Ann was a familiar face to many in the community, having been a staple at Mr. Scrib’s Pizza throughout the 80s and 90s. Driven by her compassionate nature, she later transitioned into a caregiving role with the county. Most recently, she found a professional home at Target, where she truly enjoyed her role, her leaders, and the many friends she made among her coworkers.
Ann was a woman full of life and laughter. She was fiercely proud of her Italian heritage, which often manifested in her love for cooking. She was happiest when experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen or gathered around a table with her extended family. As the elder sister to her three brothers—Tim, Don, and Pat—she was a cornerstone of the Mitchelson family, always leading with kindness and a generous spirit.
While Ann held many titles, none were more precious to her than "Auntie." She embraced this role with boundless enthusiasm and delight. Her nieces and nephews were the center of her world, and she was an integral part of their lives, supporting them in every endeavor.
Whether she was cheering at their athletic events, celebrating their academic achievements, or taking them on adventures to the zoo and the park with her dog, Ann made every moment count. Many of their fondest memories were made simply by "hanging out" at her house, watching movies and enjoying the food she lovingly prepared for them. The special bond they shared is a legacy of love that will live on in their hearts forever.
Ann Marie Mitchelson will be remembered as a woman who gave her all to those she loved. Her laughter was infectious, her heart was open, and her faith was a light to those around her. She will be deeply missed by her community and the family she adored.
Ann will be deeply missed by her brothers Pat (Nicki), Don (Jenny), Tim (Janie) Mitchelson and nieces and nephews Coby, Brayden, Addison, Abigayle, Kaleb, and Hank Mitchelson and Jack and Jaymie Imesch. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lynn, and twin sisters.
"Auntie always made time for her nieces and nephews, leaving behind a trail of beautiful memories and a family forever changed by her love."
A private memorial will be held for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to pound buddies.
