Arleen G. Smith, age 93 passed away on April 10, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William L. "Bill" Smith. She is survived by seven children, Janet Berg, Becky (Vern) Goosen, Pat (Chuck) Woods, Kathy Middag, Jerry (Linda) Smith, Susan (Jim) Broadbent, and Cindy (Joe) Meyers; 15 grandchildren 33 great- grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; 3 nephews, Gordon (Janet) Obenauf, Scott (Pam) Hansen and Gary Hansen. Arleen loved spending time with her 7 children during the summer on Big Blue Lake and in later years, the mother/daughter getaways. She enjoyed Bible study; Chicken Foot and card games with both family and friends. For many years, she was a member of TOPS MI 820 and enjoyed her KOPS status and her many TOPS friends. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Edgewood Lutheran Church, 2525 Pontaluna Road. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Edgewood Lutheran Church.
