Today, we lost my grandma. She is at peace now, for that I'm grateful. She was a saint and if you knew her you'd agree. I'm so thankful she was around for nearly 80 years and for every memory made. I'm grateful she was able to meet my babies and I know she was too.

Grandma's house was always the runway for trips to Michigan, you land there and take off from there.
Thank you for always taking care of everyone who walked in your door.
Thank you for putting sugar on the special K cereal, it was pretty awful before that.
Thank you for letting all of us tear up your house and yard with our bikes and messes.
Thank you for teaching me how to spell Anarchist Cookbook and then explaining I might find better things to read on the internet at 11 years old. (Although it was a pretty good read)
Thank you for baking us cookies and bread this summer... and every other time too.
Thank you for all the late night talks and laughs watching Geraldo and eating snacks at 2am.
Thank you for all the cards, crafts, gifts, pictures, emails, advice and suggestions. Oh, and always having the freshest blankets and pillows. I'll never forget that smell.
Thank you for all the love and generosity throughout all of our lives.
Thank you for everything.

A mother's love cannot be described with written words.  You have comforted my physical and emotional bumps and bruises with your calming touch and kind, knowing words over the many years.  You held me in your hands, from the hugs and pats on the head with “It will all be OK” as a child, to the “I'm proud of you” pats on the back as an adult, with each touch conveying your incredible love.  Thank you for being a constant beacon in my life, always teaching in your own quiet way.  You are now in God's hands, feeling his comfort and peace, which you so richly deserve.  Love forever.

I have been truly fortunate to have you as my Grandma. Your limitless kindness and compassion has touched so many lives, and has been a very valuable lesson.  Thank you for your gentle guidance and for too many cherished memories to list.

Our prayer and best wishes are with your family in this time and all other times in your lives. Just knowing that Arletta is whatching over us will be alot of comfort to those people she loved. We will miss her and love to her family and friends.

Mom, Sorry for all of the tears that keep falling. Just too many emotions running and I know that you know exactly what I mean because Mom's "just know". I have always been proud to call you my Mom. I will never be able to replace the memories we have formed together. From eating marshmallows out of a WESCO cup to looking at photo albums for hours. Talking on the phone to wheeling around the Wilder River Walk. No one will ever fill your shoes.  I love you Grandma and will miss you everyday. May you be in peace and pain free. All my love!
