Augie, its been three years since you've departed and gone home.
I still think about all the expieriencees we shared on the jobs almost daily.  We had some good times over the years. Lots of laughs!
You are remembered and missed my friend. RIP Augie

I would like to send prayers for healing and peace to Augie's family  on his passing.  
Dear Augie, it has been been five Fridays since you called me from Ann Arbor to say you were coming home and it didn't look good.  Little did we know that you would be gone two Fridays later.  I first randomly met you in February 1998 and what captured my attention was your story of courage in your 12 step journey. Not many people are able to stick with that. We became friends after that with some good times and some not so good, and have remained friends all these years.  Things I remember about you is that you were like a kid in a candy store in Bronners Christimas store and you truly loved car rides in the Fall to look at leaves especially to Ruby Creek.  You had the uncanny ability to read people like a book and you always knew what I was thinking and sometimes I think you knew me better than I knew myself. You were always honest and true without hidden agendas, a friend to most, a great lover of dogs, would give whatever you had to anyone if you had it, and help anyone in need.  You were always busy busy and didn't like to let grass grow under your feet for very long.  I am so going to miss our weekly phone check ins to talk about anything and everything.  Our joys, sorrows, and lives in general.  I'm grateful that our last call on Tuesday before the last Friday before you went to Jesus, we were able to say our goodbyes as we both knew it was our last chat. But we sealed our friendship forever.  You said "no tears, only smiles"   I'm trying, but it's hard. You are loved by so many people.  In the end, although short, you found that one special person to care for you, love you, and bring joy to your life and that is a wonderful thing!  Rest in peace with the angels my dearest Augie and I'll see you on the other side someday.  Don't forget to smile down on all of us once in a while.

I still can't believe your gone. You said 2wks, 2 mths, or even 2 yrs. i never dreamed it would be 3 days.  I've known you for 50 yrs. since way back in high school. Along time my dear.  Our marriage didn't work, but our friendship did, and we became the best of friends. I keep waiting for a phone call or text that I know isn't coming, or just stopping by on your way to Rorys.  The tears won't stop & my heart still aches. I can't be one step behind you if your not here. This is just wrong.   Miss you so much and until I get there take care of my dogs & Phil.    I love you my friend!

 My deepest condolences to Diane and the other family members. You were fortunate to have had Augie a  major part of your life! 
I was as well!  We shared in good times and the not so good times! Augie and I worked side by side for more than 3 decades. 
Augie, I was confident in you, your loyalty,  honesty, integrity and dependability! You were a responsible employee and one of my best friends!  You were eager to share your knowledge and to be of help where and when needed! You learned quick and were able to fix most anything!  You will be missed my friend but not forgotten! You will  always be a part of my memory and included in my life stories! Our life here is a true blessing but going home is the best blessing of all!
