Barbara L. Adams

Barbara L. Adams, age 52 of Muskegon, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 in the loving arms of her family. She was born on February 13, 1963 in Pontiac, MI to Richard and Karen McIlrath. Barbara was married to the love of her life, Ira Adams, until his passing in October of 2013. She was blessed enough to meet a great man, Warren Burns. Barbara was a very devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend and is loved by many. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Ira Adams; her mother, Karen (Lafond) McIlrath; and her in-laws, Martha and Bobby Adams. She is survived by her children, Nieckaea (Matthew) LaNore, and Justin (Emilee) Adams; her God daughter, Chelsea McArthur; her grandchildren, Haileigh and Kayla Hill, and Abigail and Maggie Jean Adams; her father and step mother, Richard (Karen) McIlrath; her siblings, Jim (Paula) McIlrath, Cindy (Jeff) Bolduc, Kristine (Brian) Lee, Candace Oliva, and Dean McIlrath; and many extended family members and friends. A memorial service for Barbara will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 4pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel; 1783 E. Keating Ave in Muskegon. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 2pm – 4pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
