Barbara Dodson went to be with her Lord on February 27th, 2020 at a local nursing home. She was born April 28, 1934 to Ray and Katherine Berggren in Muskegon.
Barb attended Baker College and had worked for the City of Muskegon as a bookkeeper until she married her husband of 55 years, Norman Dodson on September 26, 1964. Together they raised two daughters who gave them 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Barb is survived by her husband, Norm, her daughters and son-in-laws, Katherine & Dan Snyder, Michelle & Mark Nicolai, her grandchildren, Ryan Broadbent, Stephanie (Bruce) Cothran, Katelynn (Bryan) Morton, Britney (Chad) Andersen, Jeffrey Schugars, Adam (Amy Rogers) Nicolai, Korina Nicolai, and her 6 great-grandchildren, Caleb Morton, Sophia Broadbent, Lucas Morton, Charlie Cothran, EmmaLynn Morton, and Carly Andersen, in addition, several nieces and nephews.
Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 East Keating Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am with visitation one-hour prior at 10:00am on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at Fruitland Covenant Church, 4283 N Weber Rd, Whitehall, MI 49461.
