Barbara Mae Kolbe, age 74, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Barbara was born in Muskegon on October 26, 1939 to parents Albert and Bonnie (McKelvey) Zeedyk. She had worked at Kmart and Yankee’s Department Store. She also sold Merri Mac/Friendly Home Parties. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed going to the casino and playing the slots. She also enjoyed crafting and bowling. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, David Kolbe; children: Anita Gee, Larry VanderStelt, Ruthann McKinney, and Bonnie Pummel; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents; two sisters; son, Albert Kolbe. A funeral service will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon) with Pastor Steve Hyma officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
