Barbara June Walker

Barbara J. (Beerman) Walker, of Vestaburg and formerly of Muskegon, passed away on October 14, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Barb was a woman who held family close, and loved hosting them for holidays and get-togethers. She was a tremendous cook, and her family will remember fondly her chop suey, homemade breads, and special turkey stuffing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and we will all miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her former husband Gerald Messerschmidt, parents, Arthur and Mettie Beerman, brothers Calvin, William, Kenneth, and John, and sister Joan Weaver. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Roger; Children: Terry (Kim) Messerschmidt, Tami (Russ) Lukima, Laura Trojanek, Todd Messerschmidt, Jim (Bobbie Cummings) Messerschmidt, Greg (Angela) Messerschmidt, Dianne (Bob) Ward; 32 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; Brothers and sisters: Lowell (Bonnie) Beerman, Sandy Sugarbaker, Betty (David) Stever, Carol Ward; Sister-in-law Carole Beerman; Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 12:00pm at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel in Muskegon. The family will greet visitors an hour prior to services.
