Mrs. Bessie I. Carlson, age 79, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2011. She was born in Detroit on February, 11, 1932. Bessie is survived by her children, Robert Carlson, Jr., Bruce Carlson, Patricia (Dan) Willea all of Muskegon, Diane (Bob) Wortelboer of FL and Gary (Berni) Carlson of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Beulah Bowden of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Carlson in 2010; infant daughter, Debra Lynn Carlson; sister, Audrey Whipple; brother, Robert Bowden and by 3 additional brothers. Bessie was a member of Puddle Jumpers Antique Auto Club and St. Thomas Catholic Church. She enjoyed country western music concerts and loved to bake. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial at Egelston Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
