

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Marie Harrison, age 67, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Betty was born on July 14, 1957, in Tacoma, Washington, to LeRoy Vogelsong and Margaret Jackson. She grew up with a deep sense of compassion, kindness, and a strong commitment to her family and community. Betty attended Orchard View Public School and graduated in 1975. Later in life, driven by her passion for helping others feel their best, she pursued an education in cosmetology and proudly earned her certification.
Betty was not only a devoted mother but also a loyal friend and an everyday hero. Always ready to lend a hand, her generous spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she met. With an eye for a good deal and a heart overflowing with love, she welcomed both people and animals into her life, never turning away a creature in need. She ensured that all her furry companions received the love and care they deserved. Family was the cornerstone of Betty's life. Her unwavering love for her children and the immense joy brought by her grandchildren illuminated her world, creating countless cherished memories over the years. In her spare time, she showcased her playful spirit as a skilled Yahtzee player, embracing games that fostered laughter and connection.
Betty is survived by her loving children: Anthony (Tracy) Harrison, Katrina (Matt) Harter, and Donna (Andrew) Coats. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Donavyn, Dylan, Declyn, and Deegyn Harter; Alex and Samantha Harrison; and Athena and Guinevere Coats. In addition to her immediate family, Betty leaves behind a wide circle of extended family members and dear friends, all of whom held a special place in her heart and will profoundly feel her absence.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving parents, her devoted husband Donald Harrison, and her beloved son Kenneth Harrison. The memories of her kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit will forever stay alive in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel between 1-4 pm. A private family burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
Betty’s warmth, strength, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
